Who you are dealing with

This site is run by me, Zoltan Vargyai. I work as a sole trader, trading as Zoltan Hair and as Tecsture by Zoltan. I work on my own, from a chair I rent in a salon on Maddox Street in Mayfair, London.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.

What this site is for

This site exists to explain hair texture work — straightening, perming, repair — honestly and in plain words. Most of it is free to read and there is nothing to sign up for.

It is written to help you understand your hair and decide what to ask for. It is not a diagnosis and it is not advice about your particular head.

The guides are not medical advice

I am a hairdresser. I am not a doctor, a trichologist or a pharmacist, and nothing on this site is medical advice.

If you have a scalp condition, hair loss, an allergy, a reaction to a product, or any health worry at all, please see a GP, a dermatologist or a registered trichologist. Don't use anything you read here instead of seeing one, and don't put off seeing one because of something you read here.

If you are having a reaction right now — burning, blistering, swelling, difficulty breathing — stop, and get medical help. Call 999 if it is serious.

Chemical texture services carry real risk. That is why every treatment I do starts with a consultation in person, and why I turn work away.

Booking is covered by separate terms

Appointments are booked through Acuity Scheduling. When you book, you agree to my cancellation policy and scheduling agreement, which you'll see on the booking form. Those terms cover cancellations, changes, lateness, prices, and the roots-and-refresh pricing windows.

Those booking terms sit alongside this page. If the two ever disagree about a booking, the booking terms win.

If you're not happy with a treatment

Tell me within 14 days, come in for a free check-up, and if the treatment hasn't performed as it should, I redo or correct it at no charge.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything on this page.

The writing on this site is mine

The straightening guide, the Up and Down treatment library, the Zoltan teCsture Scale, the quizzes, the blog and the photographs are my own work. I wrote them. Copyright in them is mine automatically, under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

You may: read all of it, print it, save it, and show it to your own clients. Open it at the chair. Send someone a link. That is what it is for.

Please don't: copy it onto your own site, into your own course, into a brochure, or into a training manual — whether or not you credit me. Don't feed it to an AI to produce a version with your name on it. Don't sell it.

If you want to use something properly, ask me. The answer is often yes.

Using the site

Please don't try to break the site, get into parts of it that aren't public, or use it to send anyone spam.

And please don't send me unsolicited sales or marketing email. It goes straight to the bin.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out — to teCsture, to brands, to research. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for what's on them or how they handle your data. Read their own terms.

What I can and can't promise

I keep this site accurate and I correct things when I get them wrong. But hair is variable, products change, and no guide can account for your particular hair. I can't promise the site will always be available or always be up to date.

Nothing on this page limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow me to limit. Beyond that, I'm not liable for loss you suffer from relying on the general information on this site rather than on a consultation.

Changes

I update these terms when something changes. The date at the top tells you when I last did.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
