For professionals
For professionals: learn texture from the specialist
I've permedUP since 1991 and straightened since 1999. I trained teams, ran salons and brought Japanese and Korean systems to the UK. Now I teach it through tecSture.
Teaching is in my blood.
I've never only done hair. At every stage of my career, I've taught it.
- Budapest: my own salon, Vargyai Fodrászműhely. I trained my own staff.
- Hungary: on stage for L'Oréal Professionnel, on its tour of the country.
- London: educator and manager at the Yuko System salon and academy, Curzon Street, Mayfair.
- London: I owned a salon group, Compton Hair, in Soho, Covent Garden and the Barbican.
- Compton London: I brought Onix, Eternity Liss and ATS (2012) into the UK, and trained the hairdressers who used them.
- Since then: UP and DOWN treatments, taught to my own staff and to other hairdressers.
- Today: tecSture, with the Scale, the Encyclopedia and the courses. Join tecSture →

What you can learn
Keratin and smoothing
How a smoothing is coated on and ironed in, and why it fades. The technique is in the tecSture Encyclopedia.
See it on tecSture →Japanese / permanent straightening
Semi, demi and permanent: what each one actually moves, who is a candidate, and when the answer is no.
See it on tecSture →Digital and Korean perms
Heated rods and big, soft movement that looks best blow-dried: how a digital perm differs from a cold perm.
See it on tecSture →Curl and wave (Up)
Modern perming for hair that has already been through things: winding, timing, placement and aftercare.
See it on tecSture →The Zoltan tecSture Scale™
Three readings, one code: pattern, frizz and condition, read in the chair before anything is mixed.
