Zoltan at Josh Wood Atelier

After Compton, Zoltan worked by appointment at Atelier Lansdowne, Josh Wood’s salon in a mews in Notting Hill. Smaller room, same work: keratin, straightening and waves, mixed for each head of hair.
This is where Hot Smooth started, in 2014, and where the treatments got the names Keratin Smooth, Repair, Wave and Straight. The brochure on these pages is Zoltan’s own, from that time.

Josh Wood on Zoltan
“Working alongside Zoltan has opened my eye to texture. Not only his many ways of expertly dealing with difficult texture but his ability to add texture to hair that is limp and needs body is revolutionary…”
Josh Wood · as printed in the Atelier brochure
Josh Wood is a colourist. At the Atelier, Zoltan did the texture: smoothing, straightening, and the waves and root lift that give limp hair body. The quote is from the brochure Zoltan handed out there, shown in full below.
