Zoltan is one of the hair industry’s experts; with over 23 years of experience he has led the way for hair texture treatments in the UK. Primarily he has focused on Keratin Treatments, which gave him the reputation as the ‘King of Brazilian Blow Dries’, but more recently has turned his specialist attention to more permanent texture treatments. His treatments are tailor-made for each individual so that the results can be the best for the client. Zoltan’s new treatments do have one aspect in common, which is that they all focus on maintaining the condition of the hair, as in his eyes this is ‘the most important thing’ when caring for your hair.
Zoltan brings 23 years’ hairdressing experience to Atelier. Originally from Hungary, he did his three-year apprenticeship with the most established salon in Budapest, where Zoltan learned precision cutting, colouring and perming, and many other aspects of hairdressing. He opened his first salon […] and moved to London four years later, where he started as a colour technician at Molton Brown, and moved on to manage the Yuko hair straightening salon in Mayfair. He learned straightening from Yuko Yamashita herself, and was the first person to straighten Afro-Caribbean hair with the Japanese hair straightening method. Zoltan left Yuko to open Compton in Soho, Covent Garden and the City of London. He was Creative Director for 12 years, where he perfected and developed his hair re-texturising techniques. He has countless articles about him in magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, OK!, HELLO!, Tatler, Elle and The Sunday Times, just to name a few. His passion is yoga and photography, and of course hairdressing.
