UP · root volumeUP · for men
Lift at the root. No curl. Looks like more hair.
For fine hair that lies down the minute you stop pushing it up. Rods at the root only; the lengths are left alone.
- Root onlylengths untouched
- No curlheight and support
- 2 minin the morning
Who it is for
- Fine hair that goes flat at the crown by lunchtime.
- A quiff or a push-back that needs two products and a hairdryer to stand up.
- Hair that looks thinner than it is because it lies against the scalp.
What you get
Height at the crown and front, product that finally holds, and hair that looks fuller because it stands away from the scalp. Nobody will identify it as a permUP.
It grows down and away as your hair grows, and your haircuts take the treated ends. There is no line.
Is it for thinning hair?
Thinning hair is usually fine hair, and fine hair is more fragile, so this is exactly the case where I want to see it before I promise anything. Sometimes a light lift gives useful body. Sometimes the right answer is no chemistry at all, and I would rather lose the booking than take the risk.

Questions men ask
Is it a perm?
Technically, at the root only. Nobody will call it one: there's no curl.
Will it make thinning worse?
On very fine, fragile hair it can break it, so I look first and sometimes say no.
How long does it last?
It grows down and away as your hair grows, and your cuts take the ends. No line.
